Those first few days, weeks, honestly even months of having a new baby is such a unique time. Your heart expands 100 percent in a way you never imaged possible. You shift and change into this whole new person (even a tired zombie at times) and learn new things about yourself let alone this new tiny human you are taking care of.
I capture those sweet, quite, special moments, giving you something tangible to hold onto to help you remember those first few weeks and months! I don’t use props or lavish set-ups, just you and your sweet family and all your personality and uniqueness!

MINIMAL.
I have always loved simple, clean photography with beautiful, flattering light to showcase your family’s uniqueness.
I don’t use props or unsafe posing in my newborn photography. Just you and your baby! Perfection!

Not only do I have many years of experience photographing and working with children and families, I am also a mom to three silly kiddos.
So I know how important capturing each special stage as your children grow is!

What to Wear for a Newborn Photo Shoot

Newborn Session Sitting Fee: $375
Your session fee includes the photographer’s time and talent, as well as approximately 75 edited images presented in an online gallery for viewing and product ordering.
Session fees do not include digital files or physical products.
Baby Bundle Sitting Fee: $900
Have your baby photographed three times in their first year! Babies change so fast and every stage is unique, this bundle option gives you the opportunity to capture all those special moments! Includes Newborn, 6-9 Months, and One Year Photo Sessions

Finished Products for your Home
Digital Negatives.
Clients have the option of purchasing single digital negatives files for download or the entire gallery for unlimited download and sharing.

Archival Prints.
Fine art prints are printed on your choice of matte or luster, archival grade paper providing strength and beauty that will last generations.

The Newborn Session Process
1. Inquire & Book
Flling out my contact form and tell me a little bit about yourself, family and your due date!
Babies come on their own time, so I will take note of your due date but leave room in my schedule for flexibility.
I’ll email you over some guides so you can feel at ease knowing you’ll be fully prepared for your session. Also never hesitate to reach out and ask any question…I am happy to answer!
2. Session Day
After your baby arrives, contact me and we will schedule a concrete date and time for your session to take place.
I understand that sometimes babies or mommas need to stay a bit longer than expected at the hospital for recovery. Please take care of yourself and your family and schedule a date that you are completely comfortable with!
You’ll come to the studio, I’ll ask you all about your baby, where their name came from, how much they weighed, how you’re doing, all while I’m photographing your sweet family! You’ll blink and we’ll be done!
Plan on spending about an hour to an hour and half at the studio.
3. Gallery Delivery
After your session, I will deliver your online gallery in about 2-3 weeks. Your gallery is for viewing to purchase products. Electronic or physical products are not included in the sitting fee price
Feel free to share your gallery with friends and family and have them “oooh” and “awww” over your cute baby!
4. Order Products
You are able to purchase products directly from your online gallery and delivered right to your home!
You’re a busy momma, this method allows you to choose and order products at your convenience.
Albums require extra steps and a bit more time and communication to produce, but it is totally worth it!

In my opinion, any time is the right time for you to have newborn pictures to be taken.
The older a baby is the more alert and awake they will be. The younger they are the more sleepy and snuggly they are. Both are perfect!

All photo sessions will take place at my studio located at 415 S. 1200 W. Mapleton, UT 84664

Plan on being in the studio for about an hour. Sometimes an hour and a half if we need extra snuggles or snacks!

Nope, I like to photograph your entire family when you schedule a newborn session with me.
I love capturing those special moments between a new baby and their older siblings or snuggled in dad's big hands so you can always remember how small your baby was.
Please, bring the whole crew!

Opt for muted pastels, earth tones or neutrals like white, cream, gray, or black. These colors are timeless and will never go out of style.
Please make sure your clothing choice is a solid pattern or a pattern that reads solid.
For newborn, I recommend a simple onesie in a solid soft color. I also like to photograph babies just in their diapers. Simple is best for baby.

I photograph your baby in a simple, natural way. Like swaddled on a bed, cozy in mom's arms, or safe in dad's lap. Just how a baby should be!

Hi! I’m LAURA!
My husband and I have lived in Utah for the last ten years. We are both transplants (me from Idaho, him from Washington) but we have absolutely fallen in love with the beauty that Utah has to offer.
We love watching the light fade on Mount Timpanogous, feeding the ducks at BYU, and visiting the Creamery on 9th!
We have three sweet (and spicy) children that we absolutely adore and is the reason I am so passionate about helping other families document their own special moments.
I earned a BFA degree in photography from BYU-Idaho and have over 15 years of experience photographing families and children.
