What my Studio Space is Like
Studio Location
My studio is located in the beautiful, historic city of Springville, Utah. I share an entrance with a few other business, so if you don’t see me right when you walk in, have a seat in the spacious waiting room and I will be right with you! Down the hallway you’ll find the open and airy studio space.
Lights
I generally use one studio light with a great big umbrella. The large umbrella helps cast beautiful, even light, but it might feel ominous to small children. While the lights don’t create much noise, the sudden flashes can be startling. Explaining the process to your children beforehand and helping them understand that there’s nothing to be afraid of, can make their entire experience better.
Simple Props
Whether I am photographing your whole family or an individual child, the only props I use are an understated stool to sit on, or a simple mattress set up with a nice creamy blanket. I don’t fuss around with busy backdrops or holiday gimmicks. We are creating timeless, elegant photographs that will last a life time. No butterfly wings necessary!
